The legendary Britten V1000 will be on display at the VANZ Conference 2012.
Get up close and personal with this beautifully-engineered machine!
From a humble home garage in Christchurch in 1986, John Britten set out to turn his dream of designing a ground-breaking racing motorcycle into a reality.
John did all his own drawings, made his own patterns and designed his own engines. With the help of a few dedicated mates, the first Britten bike was built - a bike that would become renowned worldwide for its revolutionary design and performance.
Before John Britten's untimely passing in 1995,
Britten had hand-produced ten bikes: three are currently in New Zealand, one is in Italy, one in Holland and five are in the United States of America. One of these exceptional bikes will be on display throughout the entire VANZ Conference 2012, serving as a shining beacon of engineering brilliance.
For his truly innovative work on the bike, John Britten was made an Honorary Fellow of the NZ Engineers Institute and posthumously was honoured with an Entrepreneurial Engineer Award.
During VANZ Conference 2012, you will also hear the inspiring story of Britten bikes from our keynote speaker, international motorcyle racing champion Andrew Shroud.
We also have 3 signed copies of the fabulous Britten book (Dare to Dream - The John Britten Story) to giveaway during the conference!
